Still on the road

My story

I carried the weight of a business for decades. Then I sold it and asked what comes next.

For most of my working life I was the owner: making payroll, making the hard calls, and solving problems nobody else could solve. I built an insurance agency into something worth buying, and then I sold it.

Selling gave me freedom. It also left me with a question most owners never get time to think about: after all that building and leading, what would make the next chapter worth getting up for?

Retirement was not the destination. Becoming refired was.

My answer was to help other owners with the same questions I had. Many of them feel trapped by their own success and wonder why a business that works still seems to own them.

What I believe

You can't grow your business if you aren't willing to grow yourself.

Tactics matter, and so does technology. But lasting change starts with the person making the decisions.

Your life is part of the strategy.

A business decision isn't a success if it keeps damaging the life the business was supposed to support.

Clarity comes before speed.

Moving faster in the wrong direction only puts more distance between you and where you want to be. Choose the destination first.

Follow-through is the real breakthrough.

An insight only matters once it changes your next conversation, commitment, or decision.

Use the tools. Keep the judgment.

AI can take busywork off your plate and help you think. The relationship and the responsibility stay human.
